BLACKPEACE
BLACK PEACE “Terracotta Warriors” Series: Exploring Power, War, and Peace
Jimmy’s BLACK PEACE series delves into the complex relationships between power, war, and peace. The sculptures, rendered in black, symbolize authority and the inescapability of fate, while the skeletal imagery highlights the sacrifices inherent in war and the fragility of life. Traditionally, terracotta warriors have represented power, yet when reimagined in black as lifeless figures, they pose a profound question: Does power inevitably succumb to time? Through the sheer scale of these collective sculptures, the series invites viewers to contemplate the coexistence of war and peace and to question whether we are truly capable of breaking free from the cycles of history.
